My Fanfic

So, a lot of people think dogs aren't creative. That's just 'cause they don't take the time to pay attention. Once I'd taught myself how to read, and then to write, and then to use the internet and stuff, it just seemed like it was time to turn my talents toward *creative* writing.

Mom's all "Buffy is the best show ever!" so that's all I ever get to watch and stuff so I thought I'd try my paw at fanfiction. So far, my oeuvre consists of only one, um, oeuvre but I'm working on it. *Big* things, okay?

This is my story, Hungry.

TITLE: Hungry
AUTHOR: Molly
RATING: R (angst)
PAIRING/SUMMARY: This is Buffy/Oz friendship, only not, because Mom Buffy forgets to feed Oz and he's sad.
DISCLAIMER: I own my Mom. She belongs to me, for better or worse. Oz belongs to that guy who owns the Buffy show.
SPOILERS: S3 Buffy
DISTRIBUTION: Whatever.
FEEDBACK: Please send snausages.

"Hey, Oz, how's it going this morning?" Buffy looks down at the cage in her basement that Oz lives in. He's laying there on the cold, hard floor. He doesn't have a couch or anything. So that she doesn't look totally neglecting, she gave him an old towel to lay on but it isn't really much at ALL.

"Okay, Buffy, but can you let me out? I'm hungry."

Buffy is totally not paying attention and stares into space clearly thinking about something she feels is more important than Oz. "Uh-huh. What do you think of my outfit? I'm going to wear it to the Bronze tonight."

"Uh, it's nice. But Buffy? I really need to eat, I'm starving and I have to go out, too. Can you let me out already?"

"Whatever," Buffy says, clearly unconcerned at ALL about Oz who is very hungry and hasn't eaten in like Forever. "Yeah, so I have to go out and rehearse with that really unimportant community theater show I'm doing and I'll be back in about, oh, 18 hours. You'll be a good wolf?"

Knock, knock. "Is anyone home?" Willow shouts.

"We are down here in the basement," Buffy says.

"What's going on?" Willow says, walking down the stairs.

"Nothing much," says Buffy. "I'm just about to go out to rehearse with my really unimportant community theater show I'm doing."

"Oh, okay," says Willow, looking at Oz. "Did you walk and feed Oz?"

"Ooops," Buffy says, and then she *laughs* even though it's not funny because Oz is really hungry and then she runs up the stairs saying she has to go or she'd be late. Willow sighs and lets Oz out of the cage and gives him a big bowl of wolf-food, walks him and then leaves for school.

18 hours later.

Buffy walks into her room to find Oz laying on the bed having thrown up on Buffy's favorite pants to get back at her for abandoning her.

"What did you do? I love these pants. You are so in trouble."

Oz throws up again, this time on her favorite jacket.

Buffy starts to cry. "Why are you doing this to me? Do you hate me?"

Oz said, "I'm hungry. And you didn't listen to me. So I threw up on your favorite stuff."

Buffy cries. "I'm sorry, Oz, I didn't realize you were so hungry even though you told me over and over again but I wasn't paying attention at ALL because I'm mean and selfish and think only of myself."

And she gets Oz a big bowl of food.

Oz eats his food and then asks for more and eats that. When he finishes he climbs on the bed and when she starts to get pissy about that, he growls at her because, Hello! she *forgot* to feed him and he was very hungry and abused and that's not cool. At ALL. So she gets to sleep on the floor on the ratty towel and Oz gets to sleep on the bed and eat however much wolf-food he wants to for the rest of his life.

The End.
